This will help them to divide their time. Hence JEE Main 2020 preparation tips include being extremely thorough with the syllabus of JEE Main.

Important Books for JEE Main –While preparing for the national level engineering exam, students must prepare for the right kind of books. Beating about the bush will not yield the desired result. Candidates should not use too many reference books. They should commence their preparation by going through the NCERT Class XII Books and also go through the study material that is provided by the coaching centre from where they have studied. This JEE Main preparation tips related to studying from the correct books hold a lot of significance since students cannot afford to waste their time preparing for inappropriate books or study material.

Preparation tips for JEE Main along with Class XII board

Candidates who are appearing for the JEE Main as well as for the class XII board exams they can follow certain JEE Main 2020 preparation tips which will aid them in both the exams. One of the aspects of “How to prepare for JEE Main and Class 12th Board Simultaneously,” is that firstly candidates must check the Class XII and the JEE Main syllabus. This will help them to know which are the common topics from where the questions will be asked both in the JEE Main exam as well as in the Class XII board exams. One of the key JEE Main preparation tip in this context is that the candidates must cover the syllabus of both Class XI & Class XII. At no stage, the candidate can afford to lose focus since he is preparing for two extremely important examinations. There is very little room for error since with each passing day the competition is getting tougher and tougher owing to a large number of students who are appearing in the competitive exam. At the same time, it is pertinent to perform well in the Class XII board exam since there are some institutes and universities which offer admission to candidates on the basis of the Class XII scores as well, while others take into account the class XII and the JEE Main scores as well.

Finish the Existing topic and then move ahead-An essential aspect of the JEE Main 2020 preparation tip is to first finish some of the basic topics and be very thorough with them before the candidate proceeds further. This will prove to be a vital aspect in the long run as, during the fag end of the JEE Main preparation, candidates should not stress themselves too much.

Develop clarity of concepts– One of the important JEE Main preparation tips is to grasp the concepts well. Candidates must remember that if they have good command over the concepts then they will be able to apply them well at the time of the entrance exam. Hence, the candidates must ensure that they know the topics so well that they do not face any problem in applying the concepts while solving the questions of any type.

Prepare short notes or flashcards- Making short notes forms key component of JEE Main 2020 preparation tips. The objective of preparing flashcard and short notes is to save time a month before the main exam as the candidates can quickly go through these short notes and flash notes and revise the formula and other important points which they had noted down earlier. During the last stage of the preparation of JEE Main, candidates cannot afford to study the complete books. It is then that these flash cards and short notes prove to be very handy as the candidates can go through them very fast and recall the important points.

Practice the JEE Main Sample Papers and Question Papers- One of the pivotal JEE Main 2020 preparation tips include solving of the sample papers and the question papers. The aim to solve the question papers is to enable the candidates to know the level of their preparation. Candidates will be able to figure out how much they are taking in solving each question in each subject, whether they are able to manage their time appropriately or not.

By extensively solving the JEE Main sample papers, candidates will get to know different aspects of the exam paper such as the questions which are extensively difficult for them and those which are either moderately difficult or are easy. The more they solve the questions, they will know which are the areas in which they will have to work more so that on the day of the exam, they do not face any difficulty. However, one should not spend too much time while solving the questions.

Mock Tests- Taking of the mock test at a time when the actual exam takes place is also part of JEE Main preparation tips. Hence, the candidates must take the mock tests from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m and from 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m. This will make the candidates comfortable on the day of the JEE Main entrance exam as by regularly taking the exam at that particular time, they are able to acclimatise themselves and will not face any problem on the day of the actual exam. To help the candidates practise, NTA has set up Test Practice Centres.

Revision- JEE Main 2020 preparation tips also include revising thoroughly what all the candidate has studied. This will enable the candidates to be able to recall at the time of the entrance exam whatever they have studied. Earlier also, while they are preparing, they will be get an idea what is difficult for them to recall. It is here revision hold the key to success.

How to Improve Memory- Whatever a candidate has studied, it is imperative for him to be able to memorize them and also recall at the time of the exam. As part of the JEE Main 2020 preparation tips, a candidate must eat healthy food, remain hydrated. Drink as much as water as possible. Candidates must remember that their aim is to enhance their memory for the long term. Thus candidates can try meditation. At the same time, candidates can also try to visualize what they have studied and try to recall it by following the steps in sequence.
