The iconic Dukes factory in Chembur shut down and the iconinc soda bottle has been broken down to make way for a highrise. During it’s heydey, the 2.5-acre Duke’s factory in Chembur had 500 employees and churned out 5 lakh bottles of delicious soda filled drinks like lemonade, mangola, raspberry and ice cream soda. The plan that has been defunt since 2013, was demolised to make way for a housing project by the Wadhwa group who bought it from PepsiCo in 2017 for Rs 170 crores
