BJP leadership in West Bengal has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address four public rallies in the state during the party’s Rath Yatra in December.
BJP plans to hold three Rath Yatras in West Bengal next month. One of the Rath Yatras will be led by party president Amit Shah.
“We have urged the Prime Minister to address at least four public rallies in Bengal during the Rath Yatra and he has agreed to the proposal,” BJP state president Dilip Ghosh said on Monday.
However, he also said that the date and venue of the public rallies is yet to be decided.
The Rath Yatras will be held on December 7,9 and 14.
